I'm spicing things up a little with regard to the monthly Drabble contest.
Over the past few days I've been trying to think of a way to reward more writers with their stories that are coming in for the Drabble.
Here is what I have come up with...
The voting decision will stay the same and the winner, with the most votes, will win the £35.00
However, in addition to this I am going to choose my Top 5 of all the stories, each month, and publish them (with permission from the writer) in an issue of Fictionesse Magazine ISSN 2631-8202 - The story that receives the most votes also will be published.
If your story is chosen for publication I will contact you requesting your permission to publish and a chance to make any small edits you may feel you want to make, before we go to print. Without your permission, inline with the new GDPR please note I can't publish your story. It is also important to note that you retain the copyright and are allowing WritingWriters to publish in an issue of the Fictionesse Magazine.
So, I think that this might improve the contest and give incentive to enter regardless of the votes collected from those visiting the site and friends/family.
I welcome your feedback on this. You can comment in the thread or email me if you prefer.
